Pastor's Bio

Kelly B. Williams, Sr. received his ministry license in November of 1997 and was ordained June of 2000 under the leadership of Rev. Dr. J.C. Wade, Sr., Pastor of Zion Missionary Baptist Church, East Chicago, Indiana. He served as Associate Minister assisting with Evangelistic Outreach, Youth Ministry, Discipleship Training, and Men's Fellowship. He served two consecutive years as chairperson for the Zion Church Anniversary and was a member of the choir and Sunday school teaching staff.

In December of 2006 the Lord lead him to establish Greater Destiny Bible Church, with a global vision and 15 members partnered with his vision. Greater Destiny opened her doors at 801 East Chicago Avenue in East Chicago, Indiana on December 6, 2006. Out growing that facility, God blessed Greater Destiny to move to its current location, 3620 Fir Street East Chicago, Indiana. To date God continues to bless the ministry with increase of souls. The foundation of Greater Destiny is to lead people into their destiny and purpose through preaching and teaching a solid biblical foundation, and preparing the body of Christ for Kingdom building through praise & worship, outreach, evangelism, and discipleship.

Pastor "K" as he is affectionately known has served as interim Pastor at the Abyssinian Missionary Baptist Church, Gary, Indiana. Program chair for the East Chicago Citywide Black History Celebration, 2004 & 2005. The chairman of the H.O.P.E. Bible Institute, W.O.W. (Working Outside the Walls) Ministry, President of God's Mighty Men, and Overseer of the Kingdom Covenant Fellowship of Churches, Pastors, and Ministries.


A product of East Chicago, Indiana and a high school graduate of Bishop Noll Institute. He has attended Moody Bible Institute and is currently attending Calumet College/St Joseph.

He is the middle child of Dr. Edward L. Williams and Theresa Harris-Williams who he credits with building the foundation of his belief and love for Christ. His brothers are Rev. Kirk Williams and the late Deacon Kevin Williams Sr. He and his lovely wife Jeanine affectionately known as Lady "J" are blessed with three children: Javecia, Trey and Kelly Jr.
 
He is currently working on releasing his first book entitled "The Armour-Bearing Church."  He also is the C.E.O. of KBW Ministries, a non-profit organization working to empower, restore and reclaim individuals pointing them to their God given destiny.

His favorite Scripture is: "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4.
